Music Highlights

The Beatles received medals from the queen, allegedly smoking a joint in the bathroom of Buckingham Palace beforehand.

•The Rolling Stones were arrested for insulting behavior after urinating on the wall of a gas station where the owner refused to allow them to use the restroom.

•Mike Smith of the Dave Clark Five suffered two broken ribs after being pulled offstage by a fan

•Jefferson Airplane debuted in the San Francisco area

•Bob Dylan was openly booed at the Newport Jazz Festival

•Hundreds of Rolling Stones fans were hosed down by police while waiting for the band to appear for a BBC taping

•The Who's equipment van was stolen outside of a dog pound while they were inside purchasing a guard dog

•The Beatles animated series began a four-year run on ABC
